¿Qué hace un director de arte?

En principio, tiene ideas. Ideas que surgen como respuesta a los problemas de las marcas, de las empresas, de las organizaciones, del mercado y de la gente

Y después, tiene un dominio de herramientas conceptuales y técnicas que le permiten concretar esas ideas en una campaña publicitaria o en una red social, en un videojuego o una experiencia, en un contenido de entretenimiento o una innovación.

El Director de Arte maneja las formas y los colores, las tipografías y los símbolos, la fotografía y el lenguaje audiovisual, la estética y la imagen con objetivos estratégicos.

Y, por sobre todas las cosas, tiene pasión por lo que hace y certeza de que donde pone el ojo, la idea crece.

Qué (y cómo) vas a aprender en M.AD

Cuando estudias Dirección de Arte en M.AD, estás siempre aprendiendo algo nuevo.

En la misma semana podras estar escribiendo guiones de una serie para YouTube, desarrollando una campaña integral junto a tu Redactor y presentando una nueva idea de producto a un cliente real.  Clases de creatividad con consignas del mundo real y trainings en cualquier lugar del mundo hacen que conseguir un trabajo sea mucho más fácil. Vas a poder decir: “Sí, yo tengo experiencia”.

El plan de estudios está diseñado por destacados profesionales en actividad, basados en su experiencia diaria y en una investigación llevada a cabo por la Escuela acerca de cuáles son las habilidades más demandadas actualmente por el mercado. El resultado es un programa flexible y adaptable a los tiempos y las necesidades de cada estudiante, desplegado en materias trimestrales agrupadas en las seis áreas temáticas esenciales para un Director de Arte.

Hands On Experience Around The World

The NoM.AD Program

After spending at least one year (4 quarters) in your home location, you can apply for NoM.AD. This program gives students the opportunity to work and learn in up to four more cities around the world. Imagine client meetings in Atlanta, a photoshoot in Tokyo, or a breakthrough brainstorming session in New York. You’ll be working on the front line…and building your worldwide network of professional friends.

Each quarter, we send students a massive list of active opportunities. It’s like a backdoor into the industry. We have partners in cities like:

Four Stages to Apply
Step 1

The application is as creative as the career.

Enter your information and register for your M.AD School of Ideas account.
Step 2

Choose a city, program, and start date

Select the school you are most interested in right now. Should you change your mind later on, you can easily change your application.
Step 3

Follow the process laid out in the application portal

Show us who you are as a creative thinker. Share examples of things you’ve created.. Or do one of our fun creative exercises. Finally, schedule an introductory meeting with your Admissions Advisor.
Step 4

Review and Submit

Make sure all your information is correct, and that you’ve paid your application fee. We’ll get back to you soon!

Important Program Information

Tuition
 

Tuition of $4,850 is due quarterly. It takes eight quarters which is 2 years to complete the art direction program.Total tuition cost for the program is $38,800.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

We work tirelessly to make M.AD affordable for students of all backgrounds. For our American students, federal loans can often cover some or all of tuition costs. We also offer a variety of scholarships.
